Chapter 6: What’s your name?
"Wait a minute." Zhou Sui whispered, "My sister needs to go to the bathroom."
Xing Ming twitched his chin and walked back to the patrol area L to hand over the work to Fan Luo.
Zhou Sui followed him and held her sister's hand towards the bathroom. When passing by Area L, she unconsciously looked up at him. Xing Ming was talking to Fan Luo with his back to her. He was taller and had longer legs than Fan Luo. More than half a head taller, with broad shoulders and narrow waist, and a good figure.
Zhou Sui just looked at him for a second, but the man seemed to have eyes on his back. He turned his head abruptly and twitched the corner of his lips: "Want me to accompany you?"
"No need!" Zhou Sui hurriedly pulled her sister and ran to the bathroom.
After using the bathroom, Zhou Sui followed Xing Ming upstairs. The entire first floor was in an uproar, with a group of people whispering about something. Zhou Sui lowered her head. The sounds in her ears were so noisy and confusing that she couldn't hear clearly, but she knew those people were talking about her.
"It's not too late to regret it." Xing Ming was in the front, his lips didn't move, but his voice fell in her ear, "I'm not a good person."
Zhou Sui looked up at him. Her beautiful dark eyes on her pale face were particularly firm and bright: "I will judge it myself."
Xing Ming chewed his cigarette and glanced at her, but did not speak again along the way.
When they arrived at the granary, Zhou An saw so much food on the shelves for the first time. She stood there dumbfounded and motionless. After all, she had been hungry for a long time. As soon as she came in, her eyes were fixed on the food. Zhou Sui called out to her several times but she didn't hear anything until Xing Ming took out a bag of Dorayaki and put it in Zhou An's hand.
The little girl came back to her senses, took it and looked at Zhou Sui quickly. When Zhou Sui nodded, she quickly bit open the wrapping paper and started eating.
Xing Ming took out a medicine box, took out antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drugs and handed them to Zhou Sui. He also gave her two bottles of water: "Go."
Zhou Sui didn't leave. She put the medicine in her pocket, put two bottles of water on the ground, took the medicine box from Xing Ming, found iodine and cotton swabs, and said, "Go and sit on the sofa."
He was very tall and she couldn't reach him.
Xing Ming sat in front of the sofa and looked at her lightly with his narrow eyes.
Zhou Sui lowered her head and gently swiped a cotton swab dipped in iodophor near the corners of his eyes and lips, and then used a new swab to swipe his injured joints.
Then she took gauze and wrapped it around the back of his hand a few times.
"Nursing major?" Xing Ming looked down at the circle of gauze, which was wrapped quite nicely.
"My mother is a doctor, so I learned a little bit." Zhou Sui found a medical band-aid and put it on the corner of his eye. Then she used scissors to cut a small round band-aid and put it on the corner of his mouth.
Her fingers accidentally brushed his lips, which were thin, soft, and a little warm.
Zhou Sui quickly retracted her hand, lowered her head to pack the medicine box, and then glanced at Xing Ming: "Okay, I'm leaving."
After eating, Zhou An politely threw the garbage bag into the trash can and followed Zhou An. She waved to Xing Ming: "Goodbye, brother."
"Don't want to eat?" Xing Ming asked.
Zhou Sui paused, looked at Zhou An, and then looked at Xing Ming: "You have already given it to her."
"I'm asking about you." Xing Ming rubbed the band-aid on the corner of his mouth with his thumb, "This... Just treat it as an exchange."
Zhou Sui was stunned for a while before she realized what he was talking about. She took Zhou An to pick out a few bags of food and stuffed them under her clothes. When she was about to stuff them into her chest, Xing Ming couldn't stand it anymore and pulled her to an inner room with a sheet pulled up as a curtain. He pointed at the bed and said, "Eat here before leaving."
Zhou Sui took out a few bags of bread stuffed under her clothes, looked at him awkwardly, and said: "Thank you."
"What's your name?" Xing Ming leaned against the wall and didn't leave.
"Zhou Sui." Zhou Sui looked up at him.
"My name is Xing Ming." The man raised his eyebrows slightly, and the narrow eyes under his eyebrows were raised slightly. His expression was indifferent, but his tone was a little playful,"Not a god."
Zhou Sui: "..."
After Xing Ming lifted the curtain and walked out, Zhou Sui twitched the corner of her mouth thoughtfully.
